Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential hazards
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems to oversee activity and detect suspicious behavior
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and intervening in theft or vandalism attempts
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks through shift reports
- Assist in conflict management by calmly resolving disputes and de-escalating tense situations
Skills
- Strong understanding of surveillance technology including CCTV systems
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques to handle difficult situations professionally
- Basic first aid and CPR certification to provide immediate assistance during emergencies
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and legal considerations in security operations
- Experience or background in military, law enforcement, or security roles is highly advantageous
- Excellent observation skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and surveillance monitoring
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities effectively
