Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. YOU MUST BE a LICENSED SECURITY PROFESSIONAL THROUGH BSIS.CA.GOV. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for the Mendocino County and Ukiah area. This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Guard will work with the client to create a safe and secure, welcoming environment for their clients and the public. Security guard will be friendly, helpful, proactive and vigilant. We will prefer to hire a guard for a full time regular position, and have several guards available for fill in, extra help as well. VALID Guard Card is mandatory
Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the facility.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for review by management.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary during investigations or emergencies.
- Provide assistance in conflict management situations, ensuring de-escalation techniques are utilized effectively.
- Administer first aid or CPR when required, ensuring the health and safety of individuals on site.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in security or law enforcement preferred.
- Proven experience in security roles or related fields is an advantage.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures; CPR certification is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail; ability to identify potential security risks quickly.
- Must be physically fit, capable of standing for long periods, walking considerable distances, and writing basic reports.

Pay: $20.50 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
