National Protective Service is seeking professional, reliable, and customer-focused Unarmed Security Guards to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining a safe environment while delivering a strong, respectful presence. Our officers are often the first point of contact, so professionalism and communication are key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity
- Monitor property, entrances, and surrounding areas
- Conduct routine patrols (foot and/or vehicle)
- Control access for residents, guests, and vendors
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and service calls
- Write clear and accurate daily activity and incident reports
- Provide excellent customer service and assist residents or clients as needed
- Enforce property rules and follow site-specific post orders
Qualifications:
- Valid Guard Card (BSIS for California)
- Prior security or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stay alert and make sound decisions under pressure
- Basic report writing and smartphone/app usage skills
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
Work Environment:
- Residential communities, commercial properties, retail locations, or events
- Indoor and outdoor duties depending on assignment
- Day, swing, and graveyard shifts available
