Job Description
Americas Gold & Silver is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Security Guard to join our team at the Galena Complex in Wallace, Idaho. This role is responsible for protecting company property, personnel, and assets while maintaining a safe and secure work environment. The Security Guard will monitor site activity, enforce company policies, and respond to incidents as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the mine site, including checking identification and logging visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols of property, facilities, and surrounding areas.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Assist with site safety initiatives and emergency response procedures.
Education and Experience
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
Technological Requirements
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or report-writing systems.
- Familiarity with security systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems is an asset.
