Job Summary:
The Security Guard is responsible for properly executing security duties on an assigned shift to adequately protect the life and property of patrons, employees, and Quapaw Casino while maintaining exceptional customer service. All functions are to be performed within the guidelines of the Quapaw Casino policies and procedures, and objectives.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
· Shall ensure the safety of patrons and employees while on the premises of Quapaw Casino.
· Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems in a professional manner.
· Generate daily/weekly reports as assigned ensuring that all pertinent information is provided in detail.
· Assist patrons and employees and respond to critical situations (Medical emergencies, irate patrons, intoxicated patrons, etc.).
· Responsible for handling all disturbances and cut-offs in a professional manner and defuse sometimes intense situations on the casino floor and outside premises; assist the Bouncers as needed on situations that may occur in The Paw.
· Answer all incoming telephone calls and transfer calls to appropriate department and/or individual
· Perform light clerical/administrative duties as assigned
· Maintain incoming/outgoing visitor’s logs, vendor logs, etc.; adhere to policies and procedures pertaining to issuing badges to visitors and vendors.
· Continual observation and patrolling of casino premises, corridors, office areas and parking lot of Quapaw Casino.
· Shall be able to successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course; and any other training required by management.
· Shall report to the Security Manager any violation, acts, or situations which are detrimental to the best interest of the Quapaw Casino.
· Shall assist in any internal or external investigations conducted by the Quapaw Casino, QNGA or authorized local authorities.
· Shall maintain the strictest of confidentiality with respect to the internal functions of the Security Department as well as any other information deemed to be confidential.
· Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner.
· Maintains a professional work environment with Managers and staff.
· Meets attendance guidelines of the job, adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
· Attend all necessary training meetings and assist in other projects as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Must be a minimum of 21 years of age upon employment.
· High school diploma or its equivalent required.
· Must have good observation skills.
· Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English; must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
· Must have good writing and spelling skills.
· Must possess basic computer skills.
· Prior customer service experience preferred.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
· Ability to communicate effectively and have the ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and patrons.
· Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid liquor license through the State of Oklahoma A.B.L.E. Commission.
· Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Key license through the QNGA.
· Must have impeccable background; high degree of personal and professional integrity; able to foster teamwork and a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks, and viewed as an outstanding team player. Being honest and ethical.
· Performs physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving with dexterity, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
· Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
· Must have a working knowledge or ability to possess a working knowledge of the Quapaw Casino Employee Handbook, gaming regulations, departmental internal controls, and proper reporting procedures and confidentiality.
· Developing personal initiative in performance of duties; guiding self with little or no supervision; depending on self to get things done.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
