Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety hazards.
- Operate access control systems to verify identities and regulate entry points for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across the property and respond swiftly to any incidents or anomalies.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events for record-keeping and follow-up.
- Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the onboarding process to ensure safety compliance.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by executing established procedures such as fire drills, medical emergencies, or conflict de-escalation.
- Use physical security measures including heavy lifting, manual handling, and the deployment of tools like Tasers or firearms where legally permitted and trained.
- Provide first aid assistance including CPR and AED operation when necessary to stabilize injured individuals until professional help arrives.
- Enforce security policies in accordance with legal regulations and company standards while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Support law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring external coordination.
Experience
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields demonstrating strong situational awareness.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control technology, and emergency response procedures.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and firearm handling preferred; training provided if necessary.
- Ability to perform physical security tasks such as patrolling on foot or vehicle, heavy lifting, and manual handling with safety focus.
- Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity for legal or investigative purposes.
- Strong conflict management skills with experience in de-escalation techniques to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Knowledge of compliance standards related to security regulations and law enforcement protocols is highly desirable.
