What You'll Do
As a Security Guard, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and secure environment throughout our community by:
- Conducting regular indoor and outdoor patrols to ensure the safety of residents, visitors, employees, and property.
- Responding promptly and professionally to emergency calls, fire alarms, and unexpected situations.
- Monitoring community access points and verifying the presence of employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, guests, and coworkers while providing exceptional customer service.
- Identifying potential safety concerns and taking proactive steps to resolve or report them.
- Documenting incidents, observations, and shift activity through detailed written reports.
- Assisting with special security-related situations and community events as needed.
- Helping maintain safe walkways, entrances, and exits during all weather conditions.
- Supporting the Facilities team with light maintenance tasks when needed.
- Operating and maintaining security vehicles, equipment, and tools responsibly.
- Following all community policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to drive safely during both daytime and nighttime conditions.
- Ability to read, write, communicate effectively, and follow instructions in English.
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions using established procedures.
- First Aid and First Responder training preferred (or willingness to obtain training).
- Previous security experience preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Active role requiring extensive walking throughout the shift.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, and respond quickly when needed.
