Global Security is seeking a professional security guard with F01 certification to work 6-hours to 12-hour shifts. As a Security Guard, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of the premises and its occupants. You will be tasked with maintaining order, preventing unauthorized access, and handling potential security threats in a professional and effective manner. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, physical fitness, and the ability to make quick, sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Access Control:
- Monitor and control access points to the premises, verifying the identity of individuals and ensuring only authorized personnel enter.
- Crowd Management:
- Maintain a visible presence to deter inappropriate behavior and ensure a safe and secure environment for patrons and staff.
- Effectively manage crowds during peak hours or special events, preventing overcrowding and maintaining order.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Act as a mediator in conflicts or disturbances, using verbal communication skills to de-escalate situations and prevent violence.
- Physically intervene when necessary to restrain or escort unruly individuals out of the premises.
- Surveillance:
- Monitor security cameras and other surveillance equipment to identify and respond to potential security threats.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or other crises, coordinating with emergency services as needed.
- Patrol and Inspection:
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
- Inspect and report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or maintenance issues.
- Communication:
- Maintain clear and concise communication with other security personnel, management, and law enforcement when necessary.
- Document incidents and prepare detailed reports for review.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with inquiries and ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Training and Compliance:
- Stay updated on security protocols, company policies, and relevant laws.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
- Proven experience in a security or bouncer role.
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle physical confrontations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to security.
The pay rate is based on experience
You must have an all-black uniform, meaning solid black dickie( work) pants, solid black sneakers or boots, solid black shirt.
