Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, preventing theft, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your expertise in surveillance and conflict management will be essential in responding to incidents effectively.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
- Operate CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage.
- Provide assistance during conflicts or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
- Assist in training new security personnel on protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations effectively.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Must be physically fit and capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
- A military background is a plus but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is advantageous.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
