Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and professional Unarmed Security Guards to join our team at a residential site in Kingston, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to respond effectively to situations while maintaining a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Available Shifts
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
(Weekend and weekday shifts available)
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect security breaches, unauthorized access, and safety hazards.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to ensure only authorized individuals are on premises.
- Conduct hourly site tours and maintain detailed activity logs.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies promptly and appropriately.
- Enforce site rules and policies with professionalism and respect.
- Prepare accurate written reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Maintain a visible and professional presence at all times.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid NYS Security Guard Registration Card.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in high-stress situations.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
