We are currently seeking an individual for the position of Security Guard. We are looking for a dedicated and responsible individual who is motivated to provide a safe and secure working environment for our employees and guests. Individual must be able to work weekends and holidays. This is a 3rd shift position, working 3 – 12-hour shifts and 1 – 6-hour shift. The schedule will rotate every 3 months as follows, Sunday to Tuesday 6pm – 6am and Wednesday’s 6pm – 12 midnight. Wednesday, 12 midnight – 6am, Thursday to Saturday 6pm – 6am. Individual will perform various security duties as outlined below.
Responsibilities:
- Individual will control access to facility, precludes unauthorized access, theft or intentional destruction of property or assets
- Observe and reports activities and incidents during designated shift and provides the security and safety of personnel and guest
- Monitors refrigerated units and reports any variations in temperature
- Communicates with incoming/outgoing drivers and gathers necessary paperwork
- Prepares logs or reports as required
- Pick up mail and deliver to all facilities
- Answer any incoming phone calls
- Transport personnel to Urgent Care
- Must be able to stand and or walk for extended period of time including walking on uneven terrain
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and work in variant temperatures
- Maintain the guard booth clean
- Carry out other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, ability to speak, read and write in English, computer skills preferred (word/outlook). Must have a valid driver's license. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and work in variant temperatures.
