Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards.
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to oversee activity across the property and detect suspicious behavior.
- Manage access control by verifying identities of visitors, contractors, and staff entering or leaving the facility.
- Respond promptly to security alarms or incidents, assessing situations with a clear focus on safety and resolution.
- Enforce facility policies related to loss prevention and unauthorized access with professionalism and tact.
- Assist in conflict management by de-escalating tense situations calmly and effectively.
- Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate response to medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents requiring external intervention.
- Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs accurately to maintain comprehensive records of daily activities.
- Maintain surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems, ensuring they are operational and properly monitored.
Skills
- Strong understanding of security procedures, conflict management techniques, and loss prevention strategies.
- Experience with surveillance technology including CCTV systems and alarm monitoring.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR certification to respond effectively during medical emergencies.
- Background in law enforcement, military service, or related fields is advantageous for handling complex situations confidently.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and inspections.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing conflicts professionally.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
