Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and preventing loss or unauthorized access.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas using CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular security checks of buildings, entrances, exits, and perimeter fences.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified.
- Enforce security policies by controlling access points and verifying identification of visitors and staff.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities for accountability and review.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to address security concerns.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or vandalism activities.
- Provide assistance to visitors or employees as needed, ensuring a welcoming yet secure environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, or conflict management are advantageous.
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems.
- Excellent conflict management and de-escalation abilities.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security protocols.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
