Role Overview: Retail Protection Specialist (Armed)

ALK Global Security is looking for a professional Retail Armed Guard to serve as a premier deterrent against loss and a guardian of the shopping experience. In this role, you aren’t just a security presence; you are the frontline defender of our client’s brand, inventory, and community safety. You will balance high-level tactical vigilance with a professional demeanor, ensuring that while the store remains secure from external threats, customers feel safe and welcome.

Key Responsibilities

Proactive Asset Protection: Utilize advanced CCTV monitoring and strategic floor patrols to identify and intercept organized retail crime (ORC) and suspicious behavior before it impacts the bottom line.
Loss Prevention Leadership: Strictly enforce store safety policies and shrinkage-reduction measures to mitigate theft, fraud, and vandalism.
Incident & Emergency Command: Act as the primary responder for high-pressure situations, including retail-specific emergencies, medical crises, or security breaches.
Conflict De-escalation: Manage shoplifting confrontations or customer disputes with a focus on verbal judo and professional de-escalation to maintain a peaceful shopping environment.
Safety Logistics: Maintain meticulous digital logs of incidents and coordinate seamlessly with local law enforcement to ensure swift resolution of criminal activity.
Mentorship: Lead by example, assisting in the field-training of new security staff on retail-specific protocols and safety standards.

Candidate Qualifications

Background: Previous experience in high-stakes environments such as Law Enforcement, Military, or specialized Retail Loss Prevention.
Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of modern surveillance technology and "shrink" management strategies.
Crisis Management: Proven ability to stay composed and authoritative during high-traffic shopping periods or emergency scenarios.
Certifications: Active First Aid/CPR certification and a valid Armed Security License (as per local mandates).
Operational Fitness: High physical readiness to manage long periods of foot patrol and provide rapid response across large-scale retail footprints.

Shift

Wednesday-Friday 1200-2200 Armed

Sat/Sunday 0600-1400 Unarmed (to ensure you get 40)
