Position: Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85007
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Must be available to work holidays and weekends as needed
Specific Duties & Essential Functions
- Assess and report irregular or unusual conditions that may escalate into security concerns or safety hazards
- Deter criminal activity and misconduct by informing violators of policy infractions (e.g., loitering, smoking, prohibited items)
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, the public, and law enforcement
- Monitor and control access for authorized personnel at entrances and exits
- Investigate incidents and prepare clear, accurate written reports
- Conduct unarmed security patrols on foot as required
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to clients, employees, visitors, and law enforcement
Assignment Expectations
- Access control for employees, visitors, and law enforcement
- Screening duties (wanding / metal detector)
- Occasional foot patrols
- Ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs, ramps, or ladders when necessary
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods on various surfaces
Requirements
- Valid Arizona Guard Card
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to complete mandatory company training
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening (to the extent permitted by law)
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Professional appearance and attitude
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
