Sunstates Security is currently hiring
FLEX Security Officers for the Orlando region, including Orlando, Kissimmee, and Lake Buena Vista. Candidates
must have open availability and be able to work
all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). These positions offer a pay rate of
$20 - $25/hr - paid weekly. Pay depends on site location.

Position Overview
The FLEX Officer position is vital to our company’s operational and financial success. FLEX Officers provide trained and reliable coverage for open shifts caused by call-offs, illness, vacation, weather, or other staffing needs. This ensures uninterrupted service to our clients while supporting a healthy work-life balance for our team.
Scheduling Expectations
Scheduling expectations for FLEX Officers differ from those of employees assigned to fixed posts. FLEX Officers can expect a
minimum of 32 hours per week, based on operational needs.
As a FLEX Officer
- You will be trained at multiple posts and/or facilities based on operational demand.
- While you may work at a specific post for several weeks, assignments are not permanent.
- Your schedule (shifts, days off, and weekly hours) will vary.
- Some shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the weekly schedule.
- At times, you may be contacted on short notice to cover open shifts due to staffing needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Florida Class D Security License.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Clean MVR (no moving violations within the past 3 years).
- Dependable transportation required.
- Minimum 1 year of security experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid report writing skills.

A Security Officer must perform duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
