# **Responsibilities**
- Patrol assigned property to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized persons.
- Observe, report, and deter criminal activity and policy violations.
- Conduct hourly reports using a company-provided software app via your personal smartphone.
- Perform access control duties—monitor entry and exit of residents and visitors, ensuring only authorized individuals are on the property.
- Respond to disturbances or incidents, and promptly contact the Santa Ana Police Department when necessary.
- Maintain a visible presence to discourage trespassing, vandalism, or other unwanted behavior.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports.
- Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, and law enforcement as required.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
**Requirements**
- **Valid California Guard Card** (Required)
- **Reliable transportation** to and from the work site (Required)
- **Smartphone** with data plan for hourly reporting via security software app (Required)
- Ability to work graveyard shifts (10 PM – 6 AM or 6 PM – 2 AM)
- Excellent observation and communication skills
- Ability to remain alert and attentive for the duration of the shift
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Previous security experience preferred, but not required
