Purpose
The Security Manager – Field Operations supports the protection of company assets, including employees, customers, facilities, and merchandise across Zara USA operations.
This role is responsible for implementing security strategies, managing security vendors, supporting investigations, and strengthening loss prevention practices across stores, distribution centers, and corporate locations.
Working closely with retail operations, corporate teams, and external partners, the Security & Loss Prevention Manager plays a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment while reducing operational risks.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations & Asset Protection
•Support the implementation of security and loss prevention policies and procedures across Zara USA locations, including retail stores, warehouses, and corporate offices.
•Coordinate security operations to ensure the protection of employees, customers, facilities, and merchandise.
•Conduct security-focused store visits to assess compliance with company standards and identify operational risks.
Loss Prevention Strategy
•Support the implementation of loss prevention initiatives aimed at reducing theft, fraud, and inventory shrinkage.
•Monitor loss trends and collaborate with internal teams to develop preventive measures aligned with national retail crime trends.
•Assist in investigations related to operational discrepancies, theft, and other security incidents.
Security Systems & Technology
•Monitor and manage surveillance systems, alarm systems, and access control technologies across company locations.
•Ensure security systems are properly maintained and functioning effectively in collaboration with external providers.
•Support the review and analysis of CCTV footage and other security data during investigations.
Vendor & Security Service Management
•Coordinate with external security agencies and service providers responsible for store and facility protection.
•Monitor vendor performance and ensure services meet company security standards.
•Support security planning for store openings, refurbishments, and operational projects.
Scope
•Support security operations across retail stores, distribution centers, and corporate facilities throughout the United States.
•Work closely with store leadership, operations teams, corporate departments, and external partners to maintain a safe and secure operating environment.
•Manage and coordinate external security vendors and guarding services across multiple locations.
•Contribute to the implementation of security initiatives and loss prevention strategies within a large multi-site retail environment.
Incident & Crisis Management
•Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and operational disruptions, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
•Support crisis management and emergency response planning, including evacuation procedures and threat response.
•Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure effective incident resolution and reporting.
External Relations
•Develop and maintain professional relationships with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and local authorities.
•Support collaboration with external partners to enhance crime prevention and security awareness.
Training & Team Development
•Support the development of the loss prevention and security culture across the organization.
•Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to security personnel and internal teams.
•Assist in promoting security awareness programs across the business.
Compliance & Ethical Oversight
•Ensure security operations are conducted in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
•Maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Qualifications
•Experience in corporate security, loss prevention, or retail risk management
•Knowledge of security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control
•Experience coordinating security vendors or guarding services
•Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
•Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred
•Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field
•Experience in multi-site retail environments

Annual compensation range:
$150,000 - $170,000+discretionary bonus
