Miner’s Landing at Pier 57 in Seattle is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Guard. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in security operations, demonstrating exceptional discipline, situational awareness, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our company's guests, employees, and clients in downtown Seattle.
Shifts available:
- Swing 1:00 pm-9:30 pm
- Overnight 9:30 pm-6:30 am
Responsibilities:
· Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address potential security risks, maintaining a high level of vigilance.
· Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and contractors to prevent unauthorized access.
· Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies taking appropriate actions to resolve issues and mitigate potential threats.
· Maintain detailed and accurate records of security incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
· Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure a coordinated and effective response to security incidents.
· Provide exceptional customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and clients with inquiries and requests, while maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.
· Stay updated on security procedures, regulations, and best practices, actively participating in training sessions and drills to enhance skills and knowledge.
· Conduct routine inspections to identify potential security vulnerabilities, implementing appropriate measures to address them.
· Act as a visible deterrent to unauthorized activities and potential security threats, ensuring the overall safety and security of the premises.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in security operations
· Strong understanding of security procedures, protocols, and best practices.
· Excellent observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· The ability to stand, walk, and perform security duties for extended periods.
· Proficient in the use of surveillance systems.
· Valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
· Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
