Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and identify suspicious behavior.
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct routine patrols of the property to ensure safety, check for hazards, and prevent theft or vandalism.
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Provide assistance to visitors or staff by offering directions or information while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Enforce security policies and procedures while managing conflicts calmly and effectively to de-escalate tense situations.
Experience
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and experience with loss prevention techniques.
- Familiarity with conflict management strategies to resolve disputes peacefully.
- Ability to perform basic security procedures including patrolling, incident reporting, and emergency response coordination.
- Strong observational skills combined with the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
