To patrol hotel premises in order to maintain order, enforce rules and regulations and insure observance of applicable laws.

Essential Functions

· Immediately respond to all emergencies and implement hotel procedures for handling such emergencies.

· Consistent support and enforcement of hotel policies relating to employee and guest safety and security.

· Know and have a thorough understanding of all relevant Federal, Provincial and Municipal Acts to include Trespass to Property.

· Complete reports for all accidents, criminal activities, suppressions, fraud, violence, property damage, personal injury, trespassing and elimination of pilferage.

· Identify and minimize fire, safety and health hazards.

· Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or any member of the management team.

This individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities

· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

· Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.

· Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the individual acting as a team leader. There is minimal direct supervision.

Job Qualifications

· Specialized training in Police/Security field preferred.

· Ability to handle staff safety and security issues.

· Ability to pay attention to detail, work in a fast paced environment handle multiple tasks, have a high level of patience, and able to follow directions issued by Management

· First Aid and CPR experience preferred.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel and has working knowledge of computers

· Able to move, pull or push goods on a cart or hand truck weighing up to 75 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.90 - $20.00 per hour
