Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Guard will monitor premises through CCTV surveillance, conduct regular patrols, and respond promptly to incidents.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate CCTV systems to observe real-time footage and assist in investigations as necessary.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations swiftly, following established protocols.
- Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Prepare detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches or unusual occurrences.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when required, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by monitoring inventory and reporting any discrepancies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in security or law enforcement are preferred.
- Proven experience in security roles is a plus; familiarity with surveillance systems is highly desirable.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; strong communication skills are essential.
- Must pass background checks as required by company policy.
- Physical fitness is necessary for patrolling duties; ability to stand for long periods may be required.
