United Security Services Inc. is seeking experienced Security Officers to join our team at one of our resort properties in the Clearwater Beach area. This position is part-time for an overnight shift.
Job Description
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property at our Clearwater Beach resort location. This role involves patrolling on foot, maintaining a strong presence, and delivering excellent customer service in a high-end hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming and safe environment for guests and resort staff
- Patrol guest areas and private pool for suspicious activity or unauthorized individuals
- Conduct regular security checks and enforce resort policies
- Investigate incidents and document observations, occurrences, and surveillance activity in reports
- Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor
- Communicate effectively and resolve problems while upholding top-tier hospitality standards
- Follow post orders and any site-specific directives
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Class D Security License (Florida) - Required
- 2-3 years of prior security experience
- Prior customer service and hospitality experience
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Open availability preferred; weekend and holiday availability is required
- Must be willing to submit to a background check
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Hotel or resort security experience
- Prior law enforcement or military service
