Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant guard to join our security team. Our security team will provide on-site, unarmed security professional services with buildings, properties or locations owned, rented, leased or otherwise under the control of our client. The majority of these locations are within Travis County, Texas. However, services may be required at satellite locations located throughout the State of Texas.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for occupants and visitors. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. Unarmed security guards will work closely with law enforcement.
The security professional(s) will maintain a visible presence, provide general safety and security to a specified building and occupants, discourage unauthorized entry into premises, and deter the theft and destruction of property. Services are needed on an “as needed” basis.
Duties

- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance and other emergency situations when necessary

- Collaborating with law enforcement when required for incidents or emergencies

- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying vulnerabilities in security protocols
- Control access, check badges, facilitate the notification for removal of unauthorized persons, act to detect, deter, and take reasonable measures to prevent the consequence of theft, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and vandalism
- Facilitate the identification for removal of people who because of mental condition or intoxication represent a threat to the safety themselves or others.
- Provide professional fire watches and sweep areas for unsafe situations.
- Escort visitors and staff on or off property when requested
- Assist in responding to law enforcement, fire or emergency services as needed.
- Preserve order, protect persons and property and facilitate adherence to rules and regulations established by our client concerning safety and security.
- Submit incidents using your cell phone by using cell phone applications.
- Perform additional duties related to building security as agreed upon by both parties.
- All Guards will be required to wear uniform while performing duties. All uniforms will be neat, clean, well pressed, and in good condition.
Requirements
- Completed or graduated from a licensed, state security training academy and/or programs that provided instruction on the use of security powers in an unarmed capacity while dealing with the public. The certification must be recognized by the State of Texas.
- Active Level 2 Unarmed Security Guard Certification
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military security services is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age. While there is no maximum age limit for the security positions, all applicants shall be able to withstand the physical demands of the job and be capable of responding to emergency situations.
- Be a high school graduate or have a General.
- Be a citizen of the United States of America and be able to complete Department of Homeland Security form I-9
- Be able to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
- Possess a valid, unrestricted (except eyeglass wear) state driver’s license.
- Each applicant must undergo and pass suitability and background investigation requirements as determined by our client and/or the State of Texas.
- First aid, CPR and AED certifications desired
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must be physically fit to perform patrol duties and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Must be able to attend training for crime prevention, customer relations, de-escalation, customer relations, AED, Cleary Act and Diversity

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
