Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. As a key protector of our environment, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and responding swiftly to any incidents or emergencies. Duties
- Control access to the facility by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and perform visual inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks or breaches.
- Monitor security alarms, surveillance footage, and alarm systems continuously to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances by assessing situations calmly and taking appropriate action in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies or emergency responders when necessary, providing detailed incident reports and support.
- Perform routine patrols of the property including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones to deter theft, vandalism, or other unlawful activities.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping for future reference.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or damage to property.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable; military background is a plus.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; candidates should be prepared to respond effectively in medical emergencies.
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections.
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques to handle tense situations professionally and safely.
- Familiarity with security procedures including access control protocols and emergency response plans.
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining high levels of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public.
