Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards.
- Utilize CCTV surveillance systems to observe activity across the property, ensuring all areas are secure and compliant with safety protocols.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations or disturbances, using first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Enforce security policies and procedures while managing conflicts professionally and calmly.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when required, providing accurate information and support during investigations or emergencies.
- Conduct loss prevention activities by monitoring for theft or vandalism and implementing preventative measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as law enforcement, military service, or private security.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections.
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members, visitors, and emergency personnel.
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security protocols is preferred.
