Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. This role involves monitoring security systems, patrolling designated areas, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and conflict management. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security is preferred, along with relevant certifications such as CPR and First Aid.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations when necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
- Enforce loss prevention measures by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
- Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during critical incidents as needed
- Ensure all security procedures comply with company policies and legal regulations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize suspicious activity through surveillance systems like CCTV
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security protocols
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a professional manner
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and stand for extended periods
