Overview
We are seeking a resilient and professional Unarmed Security Guard with specific experience in high-density or low-income residential communities. This role is designed for a specialist who excels in high-pressure environments and is committed to fostering a safe, respectful atmosphere for our residents. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in conflict de-escalation and maintain a commanding yet professional presence.
Note: Candidates must be equipped with and proficient in the use of non-lethal defense tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactive Community Patrols: Conduct frequent, high-visibility foot patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify safety hazards.
- Incident Management: Act as the primary responder to on-site disturbances or emergencies, utilizing specialized de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts.
- Policy Enforcement: Fairly and consistently enforce community rules and lease regulations with a focus on maintaining property standards.
- Surveillance Oversight: Actively monitor CCTV systems to identify and preemptively address security breaches or suspicious behavior.
- Emergency Response: Provide immediate assistance during medical or safety crises, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Detailed Documentation: Maintain rigorous daily logs and draft comprehensive incident reports to assist management in long-term safety planning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven track record in unarmed security, specifically within low-income housing, urban residential settings, or high-traffic environments.
- Tactical Tools: Must possess and be certified to carry non-lethal equipment (e.g., OC spray, baton, or conducted energy devices) as permitted by state law.
- Conflict Mastery: Exceptional ability to remain calm and decisive in volatile or stressful situations.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a diverse resident population and local authorities.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in operating CCTV software and digital reporting tools.
- Background: Experience in military, law enforcement, or high-intensity private security is highly preferred.
Shift 1
Sunday-Thursday 1400-2200
Shift 2
Fri/Sat 1400-2200 at this location (sunday Monday off) Picking up swing shift or graves other sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

They are screaming and look like they’ve been drinking. When you tell them they can't kick the door, they get in your face and start swearing. One guy balls his fists and moves toward you. You put your hand on your pepper spray (non-lethal) and tell them to back up. You ask for their IDs to check the tenant list, but they refuse and call you names. Eventually, they give up and walk out the back exit, but on the way out, one guy kicks a hole in the drywall. You need to call the manager and the cops, then write it all down.
