Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and preventing loss or unauthorized access. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued, along with certifications such as CPR and First Aid.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems and other security equipment to identify suspicious activity
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing appropriate action including first aid if necessary
- Enforce company policies and safety procedures to maintain a secure environment
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities
- Assist with loss prevention strategies by observing customer behavior and intervening when necessary
- Manage conflict situations professionally through conflict management skills
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required
- Conduct regular inspections of premises to identify potential security risks or hazards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields preferred
- Certification in CPR and First Aid highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and loss prevention techniques
- Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
- Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations (if applicable)
- Physical ability to patrol large areas and respond quickly to incidents
