General Description: Professional Security Officer responsible for watching over client sites in Hubbardston, Worcester, Marlborough, Littleton and Bolton. Guard will perform access control and act as a visual deterrent on site. Guard will be monitoring CCTV surveillance and responsible for detecting and reporting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior. Security Officer must be observant, punctual, respectful, responsible, calm, and able to de-escalate situations.
Essential Functions:
- Conducting foot patrols of sites regularly to maintain order and establish a presence
- Conduct access control for foot traffic
- Observe and Report
- Secure all exits, doors, and windows during shift and at end of shift
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify issues
- Respond to alarms as required by clients
- Submit daily activity reports using company-provided software
- Provide a professional level of service to clients/customers
Requirements:
- 21+ years of age
- Drivers License and vehicle (Vehicle used for job site)
- Pass a CORI(background check)
- Be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Excellent observation skills
- Familiarity with report writing
- Skills Preferred:
- Experience as a security guard and/or Military/Law Enforcement.
- Knowledge of legal guidance for area security and public safety
- Tech-savvy
- Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
- High School Diploma
Expectations:
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work evenings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
