Overview
The Security Officer supports all aspects of security operations at a headquarter location. Successful performance in this role will require a high degree of motivation and the ability to adapt to fluid and dynamic security performance modes, locations, teams, and structures. This is a dynamic position requiring flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing operational requirement as directed by client needs.
Essential Job Function And Responsibilities
- The purpose of this role is to deter, detect, and rapidly respond to internal and external threats aimed at the employees or property within the clients Dallas-based Headquarters. In this role you will serve as the first point of contact for employees and visitors while supporting screening procedures and promptly identifying unauthorized access attempts. You will actively monitor the facilities surveillance and access control systems to identify potential security threats before they escalate. You will conduct hourly interior and exterior foot patrols in order to detect suspicious activity, verify doors and access points are secure, confirming the proper functioning of security systems, and identifying environmental or physical hazards that could impact the safety of personnel or property You will be responsible for quickly responding to emergencies and coordinating incident response from internal and external responders. Each shift the officer will complete a detailed Daily Activity Report (DAR) that records hourly patrols, observations, interactions, and any notable events.

Compensation is targeted at $25 hourly based on experience and certifications.

Requirements
Candidates must have:
- Active Texas Level 3 commissioned security officer card
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an armed guard, military or law enforcement officer.
- A graduate of a reputable executive protection training school is desired.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- CPR/AED certification, and CCW preferred; proof of licenses and certifications are required prior to offer.
- Ability to maintain a high level of physical fitness and personal appearance.
- Ability to lift items of 20+ lbs. or more and stand for long periods of time.
- Tactical law enforcement highly desired.This position requires individuals to stand for long periods of time. Lifting of up to 20-30lbs may occur occasionally.
